You are a hard drive Darling

I'm not sure where this fits in with the rest of my photos.
I like it, but it's tough to decide if it's strong enough for
my portfolio, which I don't think it is but am unsure.
I'm my own worst editor and have a fear that my most
intimate and best story-telling images are hidden away
on one of my hard-drives because I've chosen the safe
route in selecting my photos.
Maybe this isn't one of them but it's an image I like
that I shot at a swim meet this past summer in Virginia.

He shot the Darling with an old Rollei

" For some reason this picture has been stuck

in my head for the last week, despite the fact
that I haven't seen it in a long time.
I know that I saw some picture online last week
that remindede me of this one, but now I can't
remember which.
It's shot in the winter 2005/2006 on a football
field near Fatamorgana in Copenhagen. It's shot
with my granddads old Rollei, the same kind of
camera my friend Viktor in the pictures is using
to shoot me. I would actually love to see the
pictures he makes of me. Viktor, if your out there,
please see if you can find it!

I guess I like how it could have been taken 40 years ago.
Timeless, so to speak.
Sara, thanks for giving me a chance to bring this picture
back to life!"

- Emil

UPDATE: Viktor responded and sent back the image he took. Find it here.

Come on Darling light my fire

" I love this picture! I simply do... and why?
- Because I was lucky ass hell!
Look at the light around his eyes - it´s perfect...
but sadly it´s not enough to make this a great photograph.
The facination passes - and then it´s just a lucky picture and nothing more.
But I still love it. "
